This line thanks to the old school genetic profile shows a similar quality of effect as other Greek varieties such as Kalamata Red, energetic and creative in small doses, but when used repeatedly it can become very intense, calming, slightly psychedelic, like very small doses of psilocybin. You will feel full of happiness and the high will be long lasting and with a light effect on the body.

The aromas and taste are herbal, hashish, woody, such as eucalyptus, elecampane, turmeric and dittany. Cretan does not stretch like a pure sativa although it can reach 3-4 meters maximum with strong branching and ideal short internal spacing. It finishes around mid-October outdoors in Crete with an 11-12 week flowering period.

These plants have been acclimatized for many years to the harsh environmental conditions of the mountainous areas in Crete, such as very hot summer days (40° -45° Celsius) and strong winds, at 400-500 meters above sea level. The old Cretan farmers grew them on rocky slopes to avoid police helicopters, so the plants learned to survive on their own, growing almost wild in rocky soils, with very little watering, no use of fertilizers and harsh environmental conditions.

The guerrilla cultivation techniques of local growers result in a variety that shows extremely strong characteristics that could cope very well under many different environmental pressures. Crete has a very long tradition of guerrilla hemp cultivation and it is a great honour for us to finally succeed in preserving and releasing this great, legendary and unique variety from the 1990s.
