White Widow: A global legend.
Although the exact origin of the variety is shrouded in mystery, we can guarantee that the original White Widow was first created and cultivated in the Netherlands.
The original White Widow was created when a Sativa from Brazil was pollinated by a South Indian Indica hybrid. According to legend, the WW is the result of many years of selective breeding of hemp varieties on Mount Kerala to produce high content and high trichome hemp plants.
Then from the original release, back in the 90s, seeds of White Widow became known all over the world, which has led to many variations of the original variety.
Now, the most famous seed banks have a version of the White Widow, with RQS being no exception.
At Royal Queen Seeds, our accomplished growers have created our own version of this classic variety, using White Widow S1 genetics.
Our variety offers a perfect genetic balance with 50% Indica and 50% Sativa. It is right in the middle of the spectrum and offers the best of both worlds.
White Widow has a manageable size and offers good yields
Our feminized White Widow will reach indoor cultivation in 1 meter, while in outdoor the 2 meters. It needs plenty of light, but can also be grown in cooler climates such as those of France, the UK and the Netherlands. In indoor cultivation it can give a yield of about 450-500g/m² under 600W lamp light. In outdoor cultivation it can yield 550-600 grams per plant. Although this variety performs better in a warm climate, it also shows excellent results in the climate of northern Europe.
Η White Widow will complete its flowering after 8-10 weeks, with minimal care. This is the perfect variety for beginners. The characteristics of the variety make it ideal for growing using SOG and ScrOG techniques.
It will create a large central bloom if you don't apply a training technique. Although the plant looks nice and impressive, it will perform better with a little training. Cut the tops of each plant during growth and use the LST and defoliation method. This way, the plant will produce lots of flowers and a thinner, airier structure.
