Royal Gorilla: RQS does its magic again with the legendary Gorilla Glue variety
Without a doubt, the Royal Gorilla is one of the most talked about cannabis strains to have come out of the US in a long time, which quickly became known as a consumer favourite in the US. Its discovery, however, was entirely accidental. Two US growers, Joesy Whales and Lone Watie, discovered the strain when one of Joesy's plants, a Chem Sis variety, accidentally went hermaphroditic and fertilised his Sour Dubb. We don't know exactly what led Lone to keep some of the seeds before Joesy discarded the fertilized plants, but what we do know is that he later planted some, perhaps out of sheer curiosity, and what came out of the ground was nothing short of amazing Royal Gorilla.
Genetics and Content
The two passionate growers immediately realized that they had created something truly unique and were surprised by the first results of the THC measurements. As if the dizzying 24-26% to THC was not incredibly high, some of the phenotypes are said to have reached the elusive 30% in THC. In fact, such a rate had never been measured in a variety before until that time.
As for the name Gorilla Glue, the official word is that they chose it because of the incredible resin production of the strain, which made the two growers stick everywhere every time they handled their new creation. However, considering the incredible feeling of relaxation that the variety provides, the name Royal Gorilla It also goes incredibly well with the deep physical relaxation it brings, which will keep you glued to the couch. However, this feeling is also accompanied by euphoria, making it extremely balanced.
